DoubleTree Renovation

Sage Hospitality, one of the nation’s leading hotel investment, management and development companies, acquired the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Austin, TX. Wanting to modernize the building’s design and update its amenities, Sage tapped Ryan to lead a major refresh. With our extensive background in hospitality and previous experience working with Sage, we were excited by the opportunity to further expand the relationship.

In the hospitality industry, closing for even a few days can have serious financial consequences, so it was imperative to Sage that the hotel remained open throughout construction. Ryan led the extensive renovation while taking care to minimize impact on guests and avoid service downtime. Designed by DLR Group, the dazzling updated hotel features creative upgrades to guest rooms, the lobby, courtyard and 22,000 square feet of meeting space, including a gorgeous ballroom. The in-house restaurant underwent significant improvements, including relocation of the bar and the addition of new dining space outside. The redesign reinvented DoubleTree Austin as a posh, boutique destination hotel, and helped significantly upgrade Sage’s standing in the marketplace.
