Phased remodel project does not disrupt ongoing experiments
The North Central Agricultural Research Laboratory (NCARL), part of the United States Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Research Service (USDA-ARS), asked Ryan to serve as construction manager for the renovation/remodel of their insect rearing facility. This laboratory supports national and international research projects aimed at managing corn rootworm populations. Because the laboratory remained operational during the project, continual communication and coordination with lab personnel for the phasing and remodeling construction was critical. It was especially important to protect the lab’s long-term ongoing experiments. To avoid interruptions, Ryan focused on coordinating shutdowns and switch-overs to protect the lab’s work.
