Integrated Project Team Delivers on Long-Term Customer's Goals

Due to significant growth over the years, Kraemer Mining & Materials’ office space had become overpopulated, creating the need for additional office space. Based on the relationship established between Kraemer and Ryan during the construction of the original building in 1989, Kraemer returned to Ryan to modernize the existing facility as well as design an expansion. The project was completed in three phases incorporating three “moves” in order not to disrupt Kraemer’s daily business activities.

The exterior design required a seamless match to the existing building, which utilizes Kraemer's own aggregate from their adjacent mine. After several mock-ups, Ryan was able to closely match the existing color and finish of the exterior with Kraemer by finding the area of the mine from which the original material came.

A main feature of the interior design is an upgraded lobby, which welcomes customers and introduces them to Kraemer's business and branding. The interior space has been completely updated, providing more efficient workspaces, collaboration areas and a spacious kitchen to be used daily and for group functions. In two areas, the former exterior wall, now enclosed by the expansion, is left exposed to exhibit Kraemer's product and reinforce their branding and identity.

Kraemer Mining & Materials operates an Aggregate Quarry providing base products, was hed rock material, and riprap & boulders for drives and landscaping.
