Ryan Completes Construction of Verizon Call Center

PHOENIX (December 28, 2004) – Ryan Companies, one of the Valley’s largest developers of commercial and office projects, announced the completion of construction of the Verizon Wireless Monsoon Call Center in Chandler. The 170,647 square foot, 2 story office building was designed by Balmer Architectural Group and will accommodate an estimated 1,150 Verizon call center employees.

“Verizon wanted a comfortable and appealing work environment for its employees,” said John Strittmatter, president of Ryan Companies’ Southwest operation. “By working closely with Verizon, we understood exactly what they wanted, which accelerated the construction schedule and allowed them to occupy the building two months ahead of schedule.”

Some of the building’s amenities for employees include a fitness room, full service kitchen and cafeteria and a covered lunch patio with a misting system.

Jeff Hartland of BRE-Grubb & Ellis and Mark Krison, Bob Crum and David Carder of CB Richard Ellis worked on the transaction.
