Rosemont Corporate Center Adds Tenant

Building Developed By Ryan Companies US, Inc. is 85% Leased

NAPERVILLE, Ill.  (October 12, 2009)—Rosemont Corporate Center, a new Class A office building being developed in Rosemont, Ill., is adding a new tenant to its roster. The building is being developed in a partnership between the Chicago office of Ryan Companies US, Inc. and its joint venture partner, Oak Brook-based The Harp Group.

Skyline Advanced Technology Services has leased 7,000 square feet in the 119,000-square-foot office building and will join Cisco Systems in the building. With the completion of this transaction, the building is now 85 percent leased.
For Skyline, the company that provides training on products developed by Cisco Systems, this represents a relocation of its Chicago area operations. Cisco Systems is one of Skyline’s significant clients. When Cisco announced its plans to relocate, Skyline began reviewing its options. Skyline is based outside of San Jose, Calif.  Like Cisco Systems, Skyline is relocating from O’Hare Plaza in Chicago.

Rosemont Corporate Center is being constructed on a three-acre site south of Balmoral Avenue, between River Road and Interstate 294. The site is immediately south of the Rosemont Theatre and adjacent to the Village’s Entertainment District consisting of restaurants, hotels and other retail amenities.
Site work and construction began in December 2008. The building will be ready for occupancy by Skyline Advanced Technology Services by mid-year 2010. The new four-story building was designed and is being constructed to meet LEED Gold certification criteria.

Cisco Systems, the San Jose, Calif.-based computer networking company, is leasing approximately 82,000 square feet of space in Rosemont Corporate Center. Cisco Systems’ space also will be LEED certified.

Skyline Leases Space at Rosemont Corporate Center—This new lease comes as the building has reached the “fully enclosed” milestone, according to Tim Hennelly, Ryan’s vice president of development. “We are pleased, on all fronts, with the progress being made at Rosemont Corporate Center,” Hennelly said.

“We feel very fortunate to have achieved the level of leasing well in advance of completion,” Hennelly said. “Everyone knows it’s a challenging market. Yet being the newest space available, occupying a great location in the market and having LEED Gold certification all work to our advantage.”
Hennelly added that he believes demand for LEED-certified buildings only will increase, putting Rosemont Corporate Center in a great position to serve companies with space requirements that include occupancy in a sustainable environment.

Dan Hession, senior vice president, The Harp Group, is marketing the remaining space, roughly 17,000 square feet.
