The Lighthouse of Superior will offer assisted living and memory care options on an 80-unit campus
MINNEAPOLIS (March 30, 2010) – Ryan Companies US, Inc. recently broke ground with customer New Perspective Senior Living on a senior housing development in Superior, Wisconsin. When The Lighthouse of Superior project is turned over to New Perspective in the fall of 2010, it will be a state-of-the-art facility catering to the needs of both assisted living and memory care residents in Superior and the surrounding area.  

“We are very excited to bring this much-needed service to the Superior area,” said Todd Novaczyk, president of New Perspective Senior Living. “By partnering with Ryan, we know the end result will allow us to provide the best senior living environment to our residents.”

Ryan is providing development, civil engineering and construction services on this first of three projects with New Perspective. Following the groundbreaking, Ryan immediately began working on soil correction and wetland mitigation, two existing site issues that are critical to the project’s success.

“New Perspective provides quality, vibrant environments for seniors. It is a privilege to work with this committed team whose mission is to help people preserve independence and dignity in their later years,” said Rick Collins, vice president of development for Ryan. “We’re excited to begin a long-term relationship and to help New Perspective achieve their short- and long-term care and growth goals.” The completed campus will feature a 63,000-square-foot building with 44 assisted-living units and 36 memory-care units in a mix of styles and sizes. Common areas abound in the design, to encourage socialization among the building’s residents, families, friends and staff. Full-service dining will also be available on-site, along with a trained staff providing supportive services that will help residents maintain their independence. Frisbie Architects, River Falls, Wis., is providing architectural design services.
