PHOENIX (February 14, 2012) – Todd Holzer, Vice President of Development of Ryan Companies US, Inc., Southwest Division, has been recognized as NAIOP’s National Volunteer of the Year. Holzer was acknowledged nationally among NAIOP's 54 chapters as the most outstanding volunteer at the annual NAIOP leadership conference in Washington, DC during the week of February 6.

Holzer was named Volunteer of the Year for his exemplary commitment to leveraging involvement with the commercial real estate industry to directly benefit members of his local community. As a NAIOP Arizona chapter member, Holzer has served on the Board of Directors for seven years and was the local chairman in 2010. He has founded and run several community service functions for the local chapter, including events for the Foundation for Blind Children and the Phoenix Human Services Campus. Holzer managed the successful NAIOP Development 2011 Conference in Scottsdale, organizing the corporate sponsorship program and event schedule for the conference. Additionally, he has been very involved in the local chapter committees of corporate sponsorships, event planning, and public policy as well as the business development committee and Board of Directors for NAIOP nationally.

"Todd has been not only an outstanding real estate leader in Arizona, he has been an exemplary community volunteer. Our local NAIOP chapter congratulates him as he receives this well-deserved recognition,” commented Mike Haenel, 2011 Chairman, NAIOP Arizona.

Since joining Ryan Companies in 2005, Holzer has led the development of more than 1.5 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial space in Arizona. He is well recognized for handling all areas of development, from site selection and acquisition to government approvals, design and construction coordination, as well as leasing and sales negotiation.
