The Center for Advanced Healthcare at Brownwood faced a unique challenge when Ryan Companies took on a project that a previous team abandoned. The client, a joint venture between Surgery Partners and Value Health, sought to merge three distinct brands into one cohesive aesthetic within a 28,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center (ASC). Ryan’s team goal was to transition the space seamlessly from a warm, hospitable ambiance to a modern, clinical environment catering to the diverse needs of a Baby Boomer demographic and aging clients.
The process was marked by several hurdles, from navigating new codes to resolving previously unaddressed life safety concerns. Ryan’s creativity and collaboration shone brightest when their architects and construction teams crafted an innovative solution. They proposed a unique occupancy split within the suite, overcoming regulatory hurdles while minimizing disruption to adjacent operating suites. Working in an active facility required finesse and constant communication. Ryan transformed challenges into opportunities, leveraging their expertise to navigate logistics and ensure a smooth execution.
However, the true magic emerged from the collective effort. From minimizing scope creep to delivering a state-of-the-art ASC ahead of schedule, the design and construction partnership exemplified the power of collaboration. Ultimately, what stood out was not just a physical structure but a testament to resilience, creativity and client centricity. Ryan didn’t just solve a problem; they crafted an experience, leaving a lasting impact on The Center for Advanced Healthcare at Brownwood and The Villages community.
