Target and Ryan’s vibrant partnership is one of trust, mutual respect, and a great rapport. So when Target decided to create a master planned, 150-acre campus, they came to us. The vision: the “Best Corporate Campus Ever,” full of beautiful, functional spaces, high-design finishes and abundant amenities.
Three interconnected buildings, each up to four stories in height and totaling 300,000 square feet, comprise the first phase of the campus. Phase I accommodated over 1,100 employees and consolidated two Target Corporation offices. Phase II featured a 245,000-SF office building, and Phase III saw the addition of two office buildings totaling 650,000 SF, a 425,000-SF parking ramp, and a cafeteria remodel and expansion. In spite of nearly a month lost to extreme cold during Phase III and the challenges of working in close proximity to thousands of Target team members without disrupting them, the project was delivered on time and under budget.
The new campus is simply breathtaking. Six interconnected buildings create a ring around a reflecting pond. The main lobby features Italian tile, in-floor heat and a beautiful architectural staircase. The cafeteria includes a massive skylight, and a grand gathering space boasts an inviting fireplace and 30-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.
