We are thrilled to share that we have broken ground on the first Amazon Delivery Station in Puerto Rico—and our first development off the mainland.

This new 100,000-SF facility will create more than 100 full-time and part-time jobs in the region, in addition to more than 200 new driver opportunities through Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners (DSP).

We’ve partnered with Amazon on more than 80 million square feet of industrial space nationwide, totaling more than 160 active and completed projects.

“Over the years, Ryan has cultivated a track record of success with Amazon, leading the charge on the construction of dozens of Amazon facilities in the nation’s fastest-growing markets to meet accelerating demand for delivery service,” said Max Bosso, our vice president of real estate development. “We are proud to be a part of this momentous, first-to-market development that will generate hundreds of career opportunities in the heart of San Juan. Ryan has a long-standing commitment to positively contribute to local economies and enhance community life — a commitment that will be evident at this forthcoming facility. We look forward to partnering with the local government, contractors such as Aireko and Kimley-Horn, and other key stakeholders to ensure the success of this project.”

Delivery stations power the "last mile" of Amazon's delivery process and make it easier for packages to arrive at customers' doorsteps safely and quickly. Packages are sent to a delivery station from Amazon fulfillment and sorting centers, loaded onto vans, and delivered to customers. Once on the road, the drivers who deliver the packages have the opportunity to take advantage of Amazon's advanced logistics technology and systems that help drivers navigate their delivery route.

"Puerto Rico is an ideal place to do business and our new delivery center will give us the opportunity to serve our customers more efficiently and faster," said Ashleigh de la Torre, Amazon's vice president of public policy. "We are excited about our future on the island and what this means for our customers as we continue to grow. We would also like to thank Governor Pierluisi and local leaders for their continued and steadfast support in making this announcement of the jobs we will create in Puerto Rico possible.”
