Construction is Underway on Vyne on Haven in West Suburban Chicago

Construction has officially begun on Vyne on Haven, a high-end rental community in Elmhurst, IL, a western suburb of Chicago. This development will bring over 200 units of luxury and transit-oriented living to the area.

“Vyne on Haven will meet the pent-up demand for transit-oriented living in the western suburbs,” said Toby Veit, vice president of real estate development for Ryan Companies.

“It’s just steps from restaurants, nightlife and the Metra station,” Veit continued. “In offering the highest level of amenities of any rental building in the area, Vyne on Haven will appeal to young professionals seeking an easy commute to downtown Chicago, as well as empty-nesters in search of a walkable, maintenance-free lifestyle.”

The six-story Vyne on Haven, which is set to be complete in 2024, will offer 40 studios, 103 one-bedroom and one bedroom plus den, 48 two-bedroom and nine three-bedroom units, ranging from 600 to 1,500 square feet. The residences will feature modern kitchens with quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, kitchen islands and energy-efficient stainless steel appliances; wood-style plank flooring; walk-in closets and in-unit laundry. Walk-out balconies and private rooftop decks are available in select plans.

Amenities will include a 13,000-square-foot outdoor entertaining deck on the second level with a resort-style pool, shade cabanas, dining areas, grilling stations and outdoor heaters; a secondary tranquil outdoor deck for resident relaxation; a sixth-floor sky lounge with a fireplace, resident games, and a kitchen area for private parties, with a terrace providing views of downtown Chicago; a state-of-the-art fitness center; and a clubroom. Coworking space will be located at the mezzanine level above the lobby with a conference room and two private phone rooms adjacent to a kitchenette/café. A dog spa will be located adjacent to a large outdoor dog run.

Designed by Ryan A+E Inc., the 320,000-square-foot building features a mix of red masonry and earth toned fiber cement panels accented with black-trimmed windows and balconies. Maximizing its location on the corner of Haven Road and 1st Street, Vyne on Haven will feature a two-story lobby entrance.

“The name ‘Vyne on Haven’ is a nod to the beautiful landscapes and gardens that Elmhurst residents cherish,” said Veit. “Our goal is to integrate into and enhance the live/work/play community that Elmhurst has become. The downtown area exudes a small-town charm with its cultural events and concerts at Elmhurst City Centre Plaza. In addition, renovation plans are underway for the nearby Union Pacific West Line Metra station.”

Vyne on Haven will include two levels of parking offering 234 residential spaces and a bike room with repair station and storage for 62 bicycles. It is the first full concrete building of this size to be built in Elmhurst, offering excellent sound insulation for residents.

Ryan is the developer and general contractor for the project and will manage the property upon completion.
