Ryan and Life Care Services, An LCS® Company, Open Clarendale® of Algonquin
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has completed construction of Clarendale® of Algonquin, a hospitality-inspired, $40-million, 186-residence senior living community in Algonquin, Illinois. Clarendale of Algonquin is the third open or under construction Clarendale® senior living community from developer-builder Ryan Companies and its project partners Life Care Services, An LCS® Company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital.
To celebrate the opening of the community, an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for those involved with the project was held on Sept. 28 at Clarendale of Algonquin, 2001 W. Algonquin Rd. Development team members and Clarendale staff welcomed Village officials and other guests to the event.

Clarendale of Algonquin is home to 76 independent living residences, 56 assisted living and 54 memory care suites, with a variety of floor plans based on the type of care. Independent living residences include one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den and two-bedroom units and ranging from approximately 720 square feet to 1,285 square feet. Assisted and memory care living suites include studio, and one- and two-bedroom apartments and range in approximate size from 310 square feet to 835 square feet.
The community is being managed by Life Care Services of Des Moines, Iowa. The Midwest-based senior living expert has brought uniquely customized senior living lifestyles to over 33,000 residents across the United States in over 130 communities. Founded in 1971, Life Care Services is the third largest manager of senior living properties in the country.

Clarendale of Algonquin is the second of the Clarendale®-branded projects to open in the Chicago area. Clarendale® of Mokena is a 156-residence community that opened last September. Clarendale® of Schererville, Indiana, a $40-million, 177-residence community, is scheduled to open next spring. Ryan and LCS recently announced a fourth project, Clarendale® of Hendersonville, a 184-residence community outside of Nashville, TN.
Two new amenities are featured at Clarendale of Algonquin: a movie theater room for regular movie nights, and a crafts room. The abundant list of social amenities also includes a bistro, a pub and billiards room, a club room and library, living rooms with fireplaces, garage parking, a vaulted multipurpose room, a wellness center with a full-service salon, a fitness room, and a private patio and courtyard.
Housekeeping, maintenance, transportation and a restaurant-style private dining area with chef’s specialties are some of the convenient services being offered. Covered and surface parking for 157 automobiles is available.
