Ryan Companies Adds Multifamily Development Leader

Ryan Companies US, Inc. continues to expand its team in the west region with the addition of Mike Mahoney as Senior Vice President. Mahoney will lead Ryan’s multifamily and senior living efforts in the region. Mahoney’s experience in development and construction spans 20 years with the past 12 leading multi-family efforts for ConAm, a national developer and operator of multi-family communities. 

Mahoney brings expertise in site acquisition, project feasibility, due diligence, entitlements, design development, permitting and construction to a focused effort in senior living and multi-family projects for Ryan Companies. Mahoney’s experience in multi-family entitlement and construction spans Southern California, Northern California, Portland and Seattle with over $400M in completed development projects during his tenure at ConAm.

“Having someone with Mike’s experience in multifamily will allow us to build upon the success we have had in this region with our Pierside North and South work and upcoming projects in senior living and multi-family,” said Chris Wood President of Ryan Companies West Region. 

Mahoney earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Real Estate and Finance from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.  A native of Minnesota, he has lived in the San Diego area for nearly 20 years. Mahoney will office in Ryan Companies San Diego offices.
