Ryan Companies Adds Two Key Hires to Midwest Offices

Ryan Companies, US Inc. announces two key hires in their Midwest offices. David Wilson, CCIM joins the company as Vice President of Development in Ryan’s Davenport office. Aaron Schlagel will join Ryan Companies as Vice President of Development focused on Ryan’s growth in Kansas City, Omaha and the surrounding Midwestern markets. 

Wilson brings more than 18 years of experience in leading multi-million dollar commercial real estate projects across the country and has a proven track record of creating and delivering outstanding real estate investment strategies and solution. His responsibilities will include sourcing new development and construction opportunities in the Quad Cities and throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining Ryan, Wilson served as Executive Vice President of Lockard Development and President of Lockard Commercial Realty.  

Schlagel comes to Ryan Companies from Copaken Brooks LLC where he served as Vice President of Development and Construction. He brings over 15 years of development experience in multi-million dollar projects both nationally and internationally including work for Fortune 100 and 500 companies. To further the growth of Ryan Companies’ Midwest region, Schlagel will focus on expanding its presence in the Kansas City and Omaha markets.

Recently, Ryan has been involved in the renovation of the historic Commerce Tower in downtown Kansas City, construction of several Amazon facilities in the Kansas City metro and preliminary planning of Omaha’s Turner Park East development. Ryan is currently building Lackman Hospital, a micro-hospital in Shawnee, KS and a 600,000 SF office and distribution center for American Outdoor Brands near Colombia, MO.

Wilson is a graduate of Upper Iowa University and currently serves as President of CCIM Institute. Schlagel earned his Bachelor of Science from University of Kansas and his Masters from University of Colorado. In 2017, he was named one of Kansas City’s top 25 NextGen Leaders by the Kansas City Business Journal and a “Top Connector” by The Kansas City Connector Project.
