After completing the two other buildings on the property, the economic downturn meant the original developer was struggling to complete 3900 Camelback Center. Ryan took the lead in buying out the developer and in turn became the building’s developer, builder, owner and property manager.
The property sets the area standard for sustainability while providing stunning views of Squaw Peak and the Camelback Mountains. Similar to the 3131 and 3133 Camelback office buildings, this three-story, 185,000 square-foot office development was both constructed and developed by Ryan and features large stair-step terraced balconies and a tinted glass exterior.
The Ryan team achieved the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Certification. Some of the development’s LEED design features include xeriscape landscaping, a storm water management program, water efficient fixtures and parking for fuel-efficient vehicles. Natural finishes such as wood and stone were used throughout the space, as well as low-emitting paints and sealers. When possible, materials were made from recycled content and procured regionally.
3900 Camelback Center is now home to Ryan’s Southwest office, as well as the corporate headquarters for Shamrock Foods and several additional tenants.
