Ryan Companies successfully completed the Publix Super Markets at Innovation Commons project in Wesley Chapel, Florida, as part of the Epperson Ranch master-planned community. The 59,657-square-foot Publix grocery store, along with single tenant outparcel opportunities, parking facilities, and landscaping, were developed under Ryan’s oversight. The project, completed in October 2023, served as a significant addition to the local mixed-use development.
Ryan’s collaboration with Publix and Pasco County was instrumental in navigating site-specific requirements such as pedestrian and golf cart walkways/bridges, reduced parking, traffic signals and road accesses. Overcoming challenges such as permitting delays and material lead times showcased Ryan’s adaptability and commitment to meeting project goals.
Noteworthy features included a concrete multi-use pathway and boardwalk fulfilling Pasco County’s “Connected City” requirements, enhancing connectivity within the community. Despite challenges in the construction process, including coordinating site work concurrently with third-party construction and navigating soil quality issues, Ryan delivered the project on time.
