When the Jacksonville Electrical Association (JEA) decided it was time for a new headquarters to serve as a catalyst for growth and a foundation for industry innovation, they launched a highly competitive pursuit process. Ryan pulled together a strong, versatile and persistent team to collaborate and deliver a unique design-build approach that inevitably won us the project.

The seven-story, 153,000-SF project is projected to revitalize the central business district in downtown Jacksonville, FL, and will be completed in 2022. The building, designed by Ryan A+E, draws upon Jacksonville’s river, industrial bridges and its progression towards the future, with an abundance of amenities to attract and retain an engaged workforce. The Class A office space provides tenants a spacious and flexible office environment with open-air balconies on each floor, rooftop terraces with city skyline views, and floor-to-ceiling glass on the west side overlooking the courthouse lawn.

The project is anticipated to achieve LEED Gold certification and WELL Building Standards.

The strength, commitment and collective insight of Ryan’s national team are creating a space that not only reflects JEA’s vision but will undoubtably impact this local Florida community for years to come.
